Per Delta’s official website, the airline is permitted to remove any passengers as part of its Contract of Carriage.
The airline may deem it necessary “in Delta’s sole discretion for the passenger’s comfort or safety, for the comfort or safety of other passengers or Delta employees, or for the prevention of damage to the property of Delta or its passengers or employee.”
This can be a result of a passenger’s “conduct, attire, hygiene or odor [creating] an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.”
Other Reddit users were quick to slam the passenger for his “childish behavior”.
So, the next time you’re flying, it’s probably best to leave your favorite shirt of political figures flipping the bird at home in the closet.
