Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Stir in the chopped pecans, then pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pecan filling layer.
Carefully drizzle a little extra melted butter (optional) over the cake mix, then arrange pecan halves on top for a beautiful finish.
Bake for 45–50 minutes or until the top is golden and the filling is set.
Let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow it to firm up. Best served slightly warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!
