Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish.
2. Layer the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then sprinkle the chopped basil evenly on top.
3. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste. Arrange them evenly in the baking dish on top of the mozzarella and basil.
4. In a bowl, combine the panko bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, parsley, and dried oregano. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the baking dish.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden and crispy.
