Here is a simple recipe to make a liquid stain remover at home. You can use it to make up to 12 liters of detergent. It is inexpensive, environmentally friendly and effective.
Ingredients:
100 g of soap (alternatively: natural soap or Aleppo soap)
100 g of washing soda (not to be confused with baking soda)
10-12 liters of water
Optional additives:
10-15 drops of essential oil (e.g. lavender or lemon) for fragrance
1-2 tablespoons of vinegar (for additional cleaning power)
Instructions:
Grate soap:
Grate the soap into fine shavings using a kitchen grater. The finer the shavings, the faster the soap will dissolve.
Make soapy water:
Heat about 1 liter of water in a large pot (do not boil!) and add the grated soap. Stir until the soap has completely dissolved.
