Instructions
Prepare the Yeast Mixture:
In a bowl, dissolve the dry yeast in hot water. Let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy.
Mix the Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, crack the egg and add vanilla sugar, classic sugar, and orange zest. Mix well.
Pour in the vegetable oil and milk, then mix until combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
Knead the Dough:
Knead the dough until it’s smooth. Mix in the softened butter until fully incorporated.
Let the Dough Rise:
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
Shape the Buns:
Once risen, divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll each part into a thick round layer (about 1 cm thick).
Cut each round into 8 triangles, similar to slicing a pizza.
Fry the Buns:
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the triangles of dough until golden brown on both sides.
Serve:
After frying, sprinkle the buns with powdered sugar for a sweet finish.
Enjoy!
These quick sweet buns are a delightful treat that can be made without the need for long kneading or oven preheating. Enjoy them warm and fluffy!
