1 goose (approx. 4-5 kg)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 apples, cored and quartered
2 onions, quartered
4-5 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
500 ml chicken stock
1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
1-2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
Preparation:
1. Preparation of the goose:
Rinse the goose thoroughly inside and out with cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper.
Rub the goose well with salt and pepper, both inside and out.
