Why Act Against Insects?
Insects like flies and cockroaches aren’t just annoying—they can carry bacteria and cause health problems. Droppings, bites, and general infestation make living spaces unpleasant. But don’t worry! You can fight them quickly, safely, and naturally using simple household ingredients.
1. Homemade Insect Traps
Eco-friendly, cheap, and effective.
Apple Cider Vinegar Trap
You’ll Need:
Apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar
Liquid dishwashing detergent
A glass bowl
Plastic wrap (for the fruit trap)
Toothpick (for the fruit trap)
How to Make:
Pour 2–3 cm of apple cider vinegar into a bowl.
Add a few drops of dishwashing detergent and stir gently.
Place the bowl where insects are active, preferably in the evening.
The vinegar attracts flies and other insects (it smells like rotting fruit). The detergent breaks the surface tension, causing them to drown.
Fruit Trap (for fruit flies):
Place an old peeled fruit piece in a bowl.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap and poke small holes with a toothpick.
Fruit flies enter through the holes but can’t escape.
