1. Mosquito trap:
Dissolve 5 tablespoons of sugar in a cup of hot water.
Add the yeast and mix well.
Take a 2-liter plastic bottle and cut it at the top.
Pour the mixture into the bottle and cover with the cut top inverted.
Place the trap in areas where you’ve noticed mosquito activity.
2. Cockroach and Fly Repellent:
In a pot, boil 15 bay leaves and 10 cloves in a cup of water.
Boil for 10 minutes and let cool.
Transfer the essence to a spray container.
Spray in areas where you’ve seen cockroaches or flies, such as pantries or bathrooms.
3. Repellent Spray:
Combine half a cup of shampoo, half a cup of vegetable oil, and half a cup of white vinegar in a bowl.
Mix well and transfer the solution to a spray bottle.
Spray in areas where insects are a problem.
Not only are these at-home methods effective, but they’re a safer, more natural alternative to commercial chemical repellents.
It is important to mention that while these homemade repellents are effective, they do not replace essential preventive measures such as keeping areas clean and avoiding water stagnation.
We hope these tips will be of great help to you and free you from those pesky bugs! If you decide to give it a try, feel free to share your results and experiences. Until next recipe!
