Mix the Seasonings
In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, and thyme. Rub generously over the turkey wings.
Sear the Wings
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear wings 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Transfer to Slow Cooker
Place wings in the slow cooker. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic for 2 minutes until fragrant. Add on top of the wings.
Add Broth & Cook
Pour broth over everything. Cover and cook:
– On low for 6–7 hours
– On high for 3–4 hours
Wings are ready when the meat is tender and nearly falling off the bone.
(Optional) Thicken the Sauce
Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 1 tbsp water. Stir into cooking liquid 30 minutes before done for a thicker gravy.
(Optional) Broil for Crispiness
Place wings under the broiler for a few minutes at the end for a browned, crispy finish.
Variations & Tips
Add root vegetables like carrots, potatoes, or parsnips for a full one-pot meal.
For a sweet-savory twist, glaze with a maple syrup + Dijon mustard mix in the last hour.
Let wings rest before serving to keep them juicy.
