3. Make the custard:
Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
Optionally, strain the mixture for an ultra-smooth flan.
4. Assemble:
Add the cooked apples over the caramel layer (or directly into the ramekin if skipping caramel).
Pour the custard mixture over the apples.
5. Air fry:
Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
Place the ramekin in the basket. Cover the top with foil (to prevent browning).
Air fry for 20–25 minutes, or until the custard is just set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
Let it cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
6. Serve:
To unmold, run a knife around the edge and invert onto a plate.
Spoon any caramel over the top. Enjoy cold!
