Oran Routh told the Daily Mail that his father had a strong dislike for Trump, “like every reasonable person does,” and admitted that he himself wasn’t a fan of the former president either. However, he expressed disbelief at the idea that his father could resort to violence.
“He’s my dad, and as far as I know, all he’s ever had are a couple of traffic tickets,” Oran said. “This is crazy. I love my dad, and this is completely out of character for him.”
Oran also mentioned that his father had told him he was “at the beach,” which Oran assumed meant the Outer Banks in Hawaii. “I didn’t ask for more details because we’ve had a falling out and grown apart,” he added.
