Instructions
Preheat Oven: Set to 400°F (200°C).
Cook Filling: Brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper, drain fat, then mix with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and ½ cup pizza sauce. Let simmer 3–5 minutes.
Prepare Crust: Grease a deep cake pan or cast iron skillet. Roll out pizza dough and press into the pan, letting it come up the sides.
Assemble:
Layer half of the mozzarella on the bottom.
Add beef mixture and press gently.
Top with cheddar (if using) and remaining mozzarella.
Spoon remaining pizza sauce over the top.
Add pepperoni and other toppings.
Bake: Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Cool & Serve: Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing to hold its shape.
