Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Make the meatballs:
In a bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, and seasonings.
Form into small 1-inch meatballs.
Heat a skillet with oil and brown the meatballs on all sides. Set aside (they will finish cooking in the oven).
Prepare the sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
Slowly add beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps.
Stir in cream and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Assemble the bake:
In a large bowl, mix cooked noodles with the sauce.
Gently fold in the browned meatballs.
Transfer mixture to the baking dish. Top with cheese if desired.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
