Instructions
Step 01
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, cracked black pepper, and paprika.
Step 02
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Remove chicken and set aside.
Step 03
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
Step 04
Pour in the chicken broth and stir in the honey. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the pan to incorporate these flavors into the sauce.
Step 05
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over each piece. Simmer uncovered for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce slightly thickens and coats the chicken.
Step 06
If using cheese, sprinkle it over the chicken and cover the skillet briefly to melt.
Step 07
Garnish with dried parsley and optional caramelized onions before serving.
