Dirty Air Filters
Dirty air filters can lead a variety of problems for your air conditioner, including reduced airflow, increased energy consumption, and decreased cooling efficiency. If your air conditioner is running but not cooling your house, one potential cause could be dirty air filters.
Refrigerant Leaks
Refrigerant is the substance that your AC unit uses to cool the air, and if there’s not enough of it, your AC unit won’t be able to function correctly.
Solution
If you’re sure you’ve set the correct cooling mode, you can skip this step.
On the air conditioner remote control, there are several different symbols, each with its own meaning:
- Cool: Snowflake symbol
- Dry: Water drop symbol
- Heating mode: Sun symbol Automatic mode
If you want air conditioner to cool effectively, you should select the “Cool” mode instead of the “Fan” mode.
If the temperature is above 35°C, you should also use the “Dry” mode to boost the cooling process.
