Anthuriums need sufficient light, at least 10 hours a day. The ideal location for the pot is a window to the east or west where the plant will receive morning or evening light. The north window is not suitable for flowering, but is suitable for growing a lush bush.

Choosing a pot

The success of the grow of the anturio depends largely on the size of the pot. In a pot too spacious, the plant will overextly extend its root system, affecting flowering and leaf size. If the leaves start to err, this could be a signal to replant due to root rot.

Selection of the substrate

Being epiphytic, the anturium grows naturally on other plants, so it does not need black and dense soil. The substrate must be dissolved, dry quickly, while retaining moisture. The ideal option is a mixture of soil and pine bark.

Anthuriums prefer the heat; the optimal winter temperature for them is 22-28 degrees. Air currents can seriously damage a plant, causing stress and disease.
