On most washing machines, the switch is located in the lower right or left corner, behind a small, often discreet cover.

How to activate it?
Open the lid: Use a coin or screwdriver to gently unlock the cover.
Activate the switch: Turn or pull the switch according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This will allow any standing water to drain.
Clean the filter: Take advantage of this step to remove and wash the filter. The latter accumulates lint and debris, which are responsible for affecting the cleanliness of the clothes.
How often should you clean your washing machine?

Empty standing water: Once a month, or more frequently if your machine is in high demand.
Clean the filter: Once a week, especially if you wash fluffy fabrics like towels or blankets.
Run a cleaning cycle: Use white vinegar or a dedicated product to run an empty wash cycle every month.
