  • Locate the Hidden Switch:
    • Refer to your washing machine’s manual to find the hidden switch. It is usually located near the bottom or back of the machine.
  • Turn on the Hidden Switch:
    • Activate the switch to drain any dirty water from the machine. This helps remove accumulated dirt and bacteria.
  • Clean the Drum:
    • Pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the drum.
    • Run a hot water cycle to help disinfect and remove any odors.
  • Clean the Detergent Drawer:
    • Remove the detergent drawer and soak it in warm, soapy water.
    • Use an old toothbrush to scrub away any residue.
  • Wipe Down the Exterior:
    • Use a microfiber cloth dampened with vinegar or a mild cleaner to wipe down the exterior of the machine.
  • Clean the Rubber Seal:
    • Check the rubber seal around the door for any trapped dirt or mold.
    • Wipe it down with a cloth soaked in vinegar.
  • Run a Baking Soda Cycle:
    • Add 1 cup of baking soda to the drum.
    • Run another hot water cycle to further clean and deodorize the machine.
  • Final Rinse:
    • Run a final rinse cycle with just water to ensure all cleaning agents are removed.
  • Leave the Door Open:
    • After cleaning, leave the washing machine door open to allow it to air dry and prevent mold growth.
