Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the butterscotch chips.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

For a nutty twist, add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts to the batter. If you have chocolate lovers in the family, try mixing in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips along with the butterscotch chips. For those who prefer a less sweet version, reduce the brown sugar to 1 1/2 cups and add a pinch of cinnamon for a warm spice flavor.
