1. In a large pot, mix eggs and sugar well.
2. Add the oil, orange juice, grated orange zest, and vanilla, then mix until the mixture is smooth.
3. We add coconut, semolina, yeast and salt, and mix all until we get a homogeneous mixture.
4. Mixture pour in a painted medium size mold.
5. We put the mold into a preheated oven over medium heat, and let it bake for 35 minutes or until the basbousa is cooked and takes a golden color.
🔸To prepare the sherbet (sero):
Boil 4 cups of water with cup and a half of sugar for 10 minutes, then leave to cool completely.
When basbousa comes out of the oven, it is watered directly with cold drinks.
Left to cool completely and then served cold and refreshing
