Stress and Anxiety
Even when you are asleep, your body does not fully rest if you are stressed. Anxiety activates the nervous system and triggers excessive sweating, as an instinctive reaction to danger. Result: you sweat without being aware of it.
Tip: adopting relaxation techniques before bed, such as meditation or deep breathing, can help calm the body and reduce these nocturnal episodes.
Hormonal Imbalances
Hormones play a key role in the body’s thermal regulation. In women, menopause is a common cause of night sweats, due to hot flashes.
But other hormonal disorders, such as hyperthyroidism, can also cause excessive sweating. If your night sweats are regular and are accompanied by other symptoms (fatigue, palpitations, unexplained weight loss), a medical consultation is recommended.
