Ingredients:
– 1 cup of water
– 6-8 bay leaves
– 6 tablespoons of honey (you can also use maple syrup for a darker syrup)
– Juice of one lemon
Instructions:
1. Place the bay leaves in boiling water, and tear the leaves to release their essence.
2. Allow them to simmer, covered, for about 5-6 minutes over low heat.
3. Strain the mixture, and then mix it with honey and lemon juice.
4. Store the syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use it within 2 weeks.
5. Adults can take 1 tablespoon a day, while children can have 1-2 teaspoons during the day.
