- Heat the Milk: Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. If you want to sweeten the dish, you can add a tablespoon of sugar, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a splash of vanilla extract to the milk as it heats.
- Prepare the Bread: While the milk is heating, take your slices of bread and, if they are large, cut them into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.
- Soak the Bread: Once the milk reaches a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer. Carefully place the bread pieces into the milk. Let them soak for about a minute on each side, or until they are thoroughly saturated and have absorbed much of the milk.
