Social media is abuzz after a waitress sparked a heated debate about restaurant tipping. In a viral TikTok video, a restaurant employee, known as Lillie, raised questions about the ethics of tipping and who deserves to eat at a restaurant.
Lillie says that tipping 20% is not only a custom, but also a matter of respect for the service staff. According to her, if you can’t afford to leave a decent tip, you shouldn’t frequent restaurants. For her, eating out is a privilege, not an acquired right.
