Directions

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crumbled cornbread, chopped onion, and chopped celery.
3. Add the poultry seasoning and mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
4. Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring the mixture until it reaches a moist but not soggy consistency.
5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dressing is heated through.
7. Allow the dressing to cool slightly before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a richer flavor, consider adding cooked and crumbled sausage or diced cooked chicken to the dressing. You can also incorporate a variety of herbs such as thyme or sage for added depth. If you prefer a bit of sweetness, mix in some dried cranberries or raisins. For a vegetarian version, substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth.
