The next day, after dropping Emma off at school, I decided to confront the situation. I called the woman from the photos, pretending to be their son’s teacher. Mia, as she introduced herself, was just as shocked as I was when I revealed the truth about William. She had no idea about Emma or me.
William had been living a double life, using his job to hide his two families from each other. Mia and I were both manipulated, our lives intertwined by this man’s deception.
