Step 1: Empty the Dishwasher
1. Make sure the dishwasher is completely empty before beginning the cleaning process.
2. Remove all removable racks and utensil holders to ensure clear access to all parts.
Step 2: Clean the Filter
1. Locate the dishwasher filter, usually located at the bottom of the appliance.
2. Remove it and rinse it under hot running water to remove any trapped food particles.
3. Use a soft brush to remove any stubborn debris.
Step 3: Degrease the Interior
1. Place a dishwasher-safe bowl filled with white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher.
2. Run a hot water cycle to help break down grease and grime.
3. Once the cycle is complete, sprinkle a cup of baking soda on the bottom of the dishwasher and run a short hot water cycle to deodorize and scrub the interior.
