One last tip about roaches. They absolutely hate strong odors. Add a few drops of Listerine and peppermint essential oil to a spray bottle. Spray the solution along baseboards, under furniture, under the kitchen sink and anywhere you’ve seen a roach.

Ants don’t like strong odors, especially the smell of cinnamon. Coat cotton balls with cinnamon powder or cinnamon essential oil and place the balls in areas where ants are likely to enter, such as near windowsills and door frames.
