Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths, claiming more lives than colon, breast, and pancreatic cancers combined.
Around 75% to 80% of all lung cancer cases are classified as non-small cell bronchial cancers. According to research published on PubMed, parsley shows potential in helping fight this deadly disease. The key lies in a compound called apigenin, which has been found to destroy up to 86% of cancer cells.
Other foods rich in apigenin include celery, onions, oranges, oregano, cilantro, chamomile tea, red wine, and artichokes. However, parsley contains the highest concentration of this compound, making it the most recommended source in cancer prevention or support treatment.
