One pound of white beans (cannellini or navy) that have been soaked and drained the night before
. two hocks of smoked ham
. 1. Diced onion 2. Peeled and diced carrots
. chopped celery (two stalks)
. 4 minced garlic cloves
. One bay leaf.
. using a teaspoon of dried thyme
. Soup (8 cups)—vegetable or chicken
. For seasoning, add salt and pepper to taste.
