1/2 cup mushrooms, chopped (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp ketchup (optional for slight sweetness)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional to thicken)
4–6 sandwich buns or hoagie rolls
6 slices provolone cheese (or shredded provolone/mozzarella)
