Banana Upside-Down Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

For the Caramelized Bananas:

1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
4-5 ripe bananas, halved lengthwise.

For the Chocolate Cake:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
1/2 cup hot water.
