Actress Joan Van Ark initially gained notoriety in the 1980s thanks to her portrayal as Valene Ewing on the popular TV show Dallas.
She returned to her part on the spinoff series Knots Landing in 2012 for a single episode, although here is where she gained most of her fame.
Van Ark is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and they both have a daughter. She is still going strong at age 80. In a recent interview, Van Ark claimed that she was solely to blame for Knots Landing’s downfall.
