Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta
Ingredients
(Serves 4)
300g (10 oz) pasta (spaghetti, penne, or fettuccine)
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
2. Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce
In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
Let the mixture simmer for about 3-4 minutes until it starts to thicken.
3. Add Parmesan & Seasoning
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce becomes creamy.
Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
4. Combine Pasta & Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Serve
Plate the pasta and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
(Optional) Add extra grated Parmesan or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper for some heat.
