A train ride across Utah and Nevada turned into an uncomfortable experience for one Redditor when a self-entitled passenger, who would later be labeled a “Karen,” refused to move her bag from an assigned seat. What followed was an unforgettable tale of petty revenge that went viral on Reddit.
Karen’s Unwelcome Presence on the Train
It was supposed to be a peaceful 14-hour train ride to visit family over the holidays. However, the trip quickly took a turn when the Redditor, known as u/Zulera301, boarded a crowded train only to find that an older woman had taken up more than her fair share of space. Her purse was sprawled across two seats, leaving the author with no place to sit.
When u/Zulera301 politely asked the woman to move her bag so she could sit, the response was anything but accommodating. The woman, who soon became known as “Karen,” demanded to see the Redditor’s ticket and rudely told her to “get lost.” The situation escalated when the woman called an attendant to defend her actions, but as expected, the attendant sided with the Redditor, instructing the woman to move her belongings from the seat.
