In an interview with People following the performance, Gold discussed her commitment to each show, saying, “When I’m performing, I’m really thinking about all the corrections we get up until five minutes before going on stage. Applying them is my biggest priority.”
The Los Osos High School community is devastated by the loss of Emily. A fundraiser has been launched to support the Gold family during this difficult time. The fundraiser’s statement reads: “With great sadness, we share that our Los Osos Grizzly, Emily Gold, has passed away. As a community, let’s come together to support the Gold family. All donations will go directly to the family to assist with expenses.”
Emily’s dance team also paid tribute to her on Instagram: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful, kind, and loving Emily Gold, Senior and Varsity Dance Captain. Emily embodied every aspect of our core team values—strength, commitment, kindness, compassion, and humility. She will be remembered as a leader, role model, friend, and sister to her teammates.”
