Ingredients
1 (8 oz) tub of Cool Whip, thawed
1 (12 oz) bag of chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)
1 (12 oz) bag of white chocolate chips (optional, for variety)
1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
Set up a wire rack if you want to ensure even coating of chocolate.
Step 2: Freeze the Cool Whip
Scoop small dollops of Cool Whip (about 1 tablespoon each) onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spoon or small cookie scoop for consistency.
Freeze the dollops for 1–2 hours, or until they are firm and easy to handle.
Step 3: Melt the Chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 20–30 second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
If using white chocolate chips, melt them in a separate bowl.
Step 4: Coat the Candy
Remove the frozen Cool Whip dollops from the freezer.
Using a fork or skewer, dip each dollop into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing the candy back onto the lined baking sheet.
